Your carts should be set out the night before or no later than 6 AM on the day of your pick up. Drivers are on a tight schedule and cannot always return if you do not have your carts out on time. However, if you do set out your trash too late, call our office as soon as possible and we will call the driver to see if they are still in the area. In most cases however, we will pick up your trash the following week on your normal pick up day.
If your trash was set out by 6 AM and mistakenly missed by your driver, please call our office as soon as possible. We will make every attempt to have your trash emptied by the end of that day. In some cases it will be necessary to for us to collect your trash later in the week or the following week on your regular scheduled pick up day. If we must wait until the following week, we will take your extra trash at no additional charge.
Sometimes a large bulky item, usually a box, will become lodged in the container and block the rest of the trash from being dumped. In the winter months, it is possible that a bag or bags of trash may become frozen inside the container causing the container to be only partially emptied. We will make every attempt to return and have your trash emptied by the end of that day. In some cases it will be necessary to for us to collect your trash later in the week or the following week on your regular scheduled pick up day. If we must wait until the following week, we will take your extra trash at no additional charge.
If you are going to have extra trash, please call our office before your scheduled pick up day so that we can let your driver know. The extra trash must be bagged and there will be an extra charge for the extra volume.
The container is the property of Going Garbage & Recycling Inc., however you are responsible for the container while it is in your care. Any damage or theft is your responsibility. If a cart needs to be replaced due to overweight, negligence, fire or other means, you will be charged for the damaged cart. Carts damaged due to normal wear and tear will be repaired or replaced at no cost to you.
Carts must be set out no later than 6 AM the day of your scheduled pick up.
If you have roadside service, the cart/carts must be placed on a hard level surface, no more than 6 feet from the road, with the handle facing away from the street. Each container must have at least 3 feet of space on all sides, free from any obstructions to ensure pick up. If the container is not emptied due to being blocked or obstructed, it is not the driver’s responsibility to return. If you have drive-in service, the cart/carts must be outside visible to the driver to ensure pick up. The driver will not enter a garage, shed or any other building to empty your cart.
Extra items outside of the cart will not be taken unless a prior order has been placed through our office. Certain items require special handling and are not allowed to go in carts. If you are unsure about an item, please call our office at 920-854-2114 to find out how to properly dispose of that item.
Some of the items not allowed in your trash are: paper & cardboard, plastics, glass, tin, aluminum, hazardous waste, medical waste, tires, batteries, liquid waste of any kind (i.e. paint), appliances (microwaves, Freon units, etc.), florescent bulbs, e-waste (computers, printers, etc.), heavy rigid metal, motor oil, televisions, and yard waste. If you are unsure about an item, please call the Going Garbage office at 920-854-2114 to find out how to properly dispose of those items.
Most items that are not allowed in your trash container can be disposed of at our drop-off site (recycling fee may apply). Please call ahead to verify that we are able to dispose of the item and what the recycling fee may be.
All paper and cardboard items must be flattened, dry and free of food debris.

Corrugated cardboard, newspaper and inserts, junk mail and envelopes, phone books, catalogs and
magazines, books, paperboard (cereal, cracker, soda boxes), dairy and frozen food boxes, office paper,
brown paper bags, shredded paper (placed in brown paper bag and staple closed)
*** Do NOT recycle: Tissue paper or paper products contaminated with grease or food ***

Glass, Aluminum, Tin & Plastics including: Soda, water, shampoo and mouthwash bottles and
peanut butter jars, milk, water and juice jugs, detergent bottles, yogurt and margarine tubs. ***NO PLASTIC BAGS, PACKAGING OR STYROFOAM***
Place waste in a securely fastened plastic bag before mixing it in with your other household garbage.
Yard waste can be dropped off at the Going Garbage drop-off site for a fee. The placement of yard waste in your container is strictly prohibited and will result in your container not being emptied.
Latex paint cans with the lid removed and dried out can be brought to the drop-off site. Other paint, stain or liquids is accepted, for a fee, at Brown County Hazardous Waste Facility. They are located at 2561 South Broadway, Green Bay and you may call them at 920-492-4950.

The tag has several boxes that may have been checked off. Please note which box has been checked off by your driver and follow the instructions to avoid any possible disruption in service.
To set up new service, whether is may be for residential service or commercial service, please call the Going Garbage office at 920-854-2114. or fill out our online request form, Because we offer both roadside and drive-in service to both our residential and our commercial customers, we will customize a service plan that works best for you and your particular needs.
As long as you are moving within our service area you are able to take your cart/carts to your new address. Please call our office before your move so that we can make the necessary changes to your account to avoid any interruption in your service.
Since your Christmas tree is considered yard waste, you can dispose of it at our drop-off site for a fee.
Additional carts are available for an added monthly charge.
No, We do not sell our containers.
We do offer every other week and once a month pick up. Please call our office at 920-854-2114 for pricing information.
Yes we do. The load should consist of shingles, tar paper and nails only. All paper, wood and metal should be disposed of separately.
What can I do with plastic film? (Back to Top)
Plastic Film, including plastic grocery bags, sandwich bags, packaging, bubble wrap, and wrappers, can placed in a separate container labeled “Plastic Film Only” at the drop-off site. Other options include drop-off sites at most grocery stores.
